5 new kitchens in St Albans and Harpenden

With a Brampton Interiors bespoke handmade kitchen, anything is possible!

This month we’re showcasing 5 show-stopping kitchens recently brought to life by our wonderful designer, Carmel, and the collaboration of our team of excellent tradespeople at Brampton Interiors.

1. Grange Street, St Albans

First up is this fresh, green, bespoke traditional Oxfordshire-style kitchen which feels like stepping into an eternal Spring.

A timeless, countryside retreat feel is created in this beautifully designed space with furniture in ash matt lacquer shaker (Colour Code: NCS S5020-G30Y) and brass handles from Plank Hardware.

The floor, work surfaces and splashback blend effortlessly and create harmony throughout this small but perfectly formed space between the inner home and garden.

The Calacatta Oro, featured here, is a premium and rare quartz polished worktop that can add style and elegance to both modern and traditional spaces, like this one!

2. Fryth Mead, St Albans

We love this cool, calm and collected kitchen and living space which embraces the garden which it’s designed around. A sense of harmony is created by the three well-chosen pendants, the three dining bar chairs, and the relaxing greenery of the walls and kitchen plants.

The earthy, stone floor blends into the island and furniture in light grey laminate and putty concrete effect laminate, which corresponds to the outdoor patio: bringing the outdoors in!

Appliances in this kitchen include Siemens, Falmec, Quooker & Blanco and this time, the work surfaces are in Bianco Mysterio by Artscuts: a hard-wearing quartz worktop with prominent veins throughout the stone

3. Marshals Drive, St Albans

This stunning, modern Scandinavian-style kitchen in Marshals Drive stands out for its soft and sophisticated, neutral palette: combining furniture in taupe satin matt lacquer, putty concrete graphite laminate and light summer oak.

Features to note include a striking black Quooker fusion, vertical radiators and venting hob set into the central island.

Although this is a largely “handleless” kitchen, we love the bespoke breakfast bar cabinets, which feature discreet antique brass handles showing how every design detail, from large to small, has been cultivated to fit into the larger colour scheme and style of the space.

4. Harpenden

Here is another beautiful, bespoke, Scandinavian-style kitchen with sweeping and green garden views – this time, in Harpenden. This look was created with furniture in crystal white satin matt lacquer and natural vintage oak laminate.

Flooded with natural light and outdoor views, the furniture and flooring in wood brings a sense of warmth and homeliness into this luxurious, modern open space.

The Grey Mirror splashback by The GlassSmith is a show-stopping feature of this kitchen, as are the work surfaces in Summerhill by Cambria: a one-of-a-kind quartz worktop with wide ripple greys, a warm sandy-tan background and scattered with flecks of black.

5. Homewood Road, St Albans

This incredibly unique, bespoke handmade kitchen contains both traditional and modern elements – showing that it can be done!

The beautifully crafted kitchen furniture is finished in Farrow & Ball stone blue (no. 86), bringing a sense of joy and tranquillity to the space combined with the cool, white and bright silver, metallic elements.

The worktop is Carrara Misterio Unistone: a fine-grained white quartz compound stone with darker grey veins. We also designed and installed the utility room for our client’s home, keeping with the blue theme with furniture in algate blue ash matt lacquer paired with vintage oak laminate.
