Everything you need to know about venting hobs

29 July 2022

Venting hobs are the future. At Brampton Interiors, we are experts in the supply and installation of venting hobs – with over 100 hobs installed in the last few years. Not only are these appliances smart and effective, but they also come in a stunning range of sleek, sophisticated designs to suit your dream kitchen.

What is a venting hob?

A venting hob is an induction or ceramic hob with its own extractor set into the centre of its surface, drawing in smoke, steam, and oil particles whilst you cook.

Why choose a venting hob?

Since the hob has its own extractor, the design of your kitchen becomes much more flexible, since there’s no need to factor an extractor hood into the layout of your room. This can be especially helpful if you’re considering a hob set within an island.

What options are out there?

Venting hobs (also known as hob extractors, or extractor hobs) are now available from many appliance brands. At Brampton Interiors, we stock venting hobs from Bora, Elica, Miele, Siemens, Falmec and Neff. Supply only is also possible, and we carry stock with all ducting.

In the meantime, browse some different venting hobs in action below from kitchens recently designed and installed by us.

1. Elica Nikola Tesla Switch

A favourite with our customers this year has been the stunning Elica NT Switch. This is the first extraction hob by Elica that features a suction heart that is completely invisible and activated with a simple switch. Available finishes in black and white glass “ice grey”.

2. Bora Pure X

The new Bora X boasts an extra-wide cooktop with a distinctive air inlet nozzle. This highly elegant, minimalist compact system is flush-mounted and extremely quiet.

3. Miele

Miele’s induction hob with integrated vapour extraction is available with an all-round stainless steel frame and without a frame. See it featured here in this Scandinavian-style kitchen, designed and installed by us in Harpenden.
