Nimrod Close, St Albans

About this kitchen

Mission accomplished: A beautiful, modern lacquered pearl grey kitchen with contrasting industrial-look black steel. The Royal Calacatta worktop matches perfectly with the darker grey veins to pick out the grey doors and the bronze veins pick up the rust look of the black steel doors.

Appliances: This kitchen has a 1.2 fridge and 1.2 freezer either side of the oven and a washing machine and tumble dryer either side of the wine cooler.

Full works carried out on site by our team included:

  • Initial onsite survey by our Project Manager, Barry.
  • Application for Structural Engineering report and specifications plus Building Control Consent.
  • Knocking down the load-bearing wall and inserting steel, re-mapping ceiling lighting and pipework which needed rerouting into the garage.
  • The team also cut a whole in the RSJ steelwork to accommodate the electrical ringmain which was also conveniently located in the wall!
  • Plastering decorating, fitting of the floor and finally, fitting the kitchen.

For this case study, we will share some words below from our client Max about the process behind this kitchen transformation in St Albans and its finished result:
